A sidebar is a vertical content panel that displays in the right side of your web page. You can customize your sidebar by stacking up different widgets that display a variety of things.

To add, remove, or edit the widgets in the sidebar, navigate to WP Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.

The “Available Widgets” section in the left side of the screen contains all the widgets you can choose from. On the right, there are 4 widget areas in the theme: Main Sidebar, Single Post Sidebar, Page Sidebar and Footer Sidebar.

  • To populate your sidebars with individual widgets, drag and drop the title bars into the desired widget areas.
  • Expand the widget and configure the settings
  • Click the “Save” button to let the widget go live on your site

Note: You can opt whether to display the Sidebar or not by enabling/disabling the “Display Sidebar” option in “Blog Post” settings. Refer section “Adjusting the Post Settings” for more information. Apart from that, you can also select not to display the sidebar on your single post or page by selecting “Full width post/page” layout from within the add/edit screen of the post/page.
